“Integrated Water Management in Lithuania” (LIFE SIP Water)
The first strategic integrated project of the European Union LIFE program in Lithuania, aimed at improving the condition of surface water bodies in Lithuania by reducing pollution in rivers and lakes, restoring ecosystems, and ensuring sustainable water resource management.
Project Goal
To assist in implementing the National Water Sector Plan for 2022 – 2027, aiming to improve the condition of surface water bodies and increase the efficiency of the water resource management system.

Results
we aim for
Reduced negative environmental impact on the country’s surface waters and improved condition of surface water bodies.
A collaboration platform created by experts from participating institutions and ensured more effective management of surface water bodies.
Investments pooled by the project will ensure funding after the project ends, thus expanding the scope of the project’s results.
Publicity and communication activities will engage the public more and change consumer behavior patterns that improve the condition of water bodies.
