The project team leader, I. Poci\u016bnien\u0117, and a representative of one of the project partners\u2014Aldona Margerien\u0117, an expert from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)\u2014shared their experience and gained new ideas during the joint LIFE Belini and LIFE Platform Meeting held in Brussels. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting took place on 14\u201315 October. Ieva Poci\u016bnien\u0117, Head of the \u201cLIFE SIP Water\u201d project, participated in a joint LIFE Belini and LIFE Platform Meeting held in Brussels, entitled \u201cLIFE Strategic Integrated Projects implementing River Basin Management Plan practices (with a focus on water resilience)\u201d.<\/p>\n

She was joined at the event by Aldona Margerien\u0117, an expert from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), representing one of the project\u2019s partners. Ms Margerien\u0117 took part in the \u201cGovernance\u201d working group, where she presented Lithuania\u2019s \u201cLIFE SIP Water\u201d project and its main objectives. Meanwhile, Ms Poci\u016bnien\u0117 delivered a presentation to the \u201cFinance\u201d working group on one of the project tasks already implemented\u2014the \u201cWillingness to Pay\u201d public survey, which assessed public readiness to contribute financially to improving and maintaining the quality status of the country\u2019s surface waters.<\/p>\n

The platform meeting provided participants with an opportunity to discuss challenges arising during project implementation and to exchange views on related policies and technical solutions. The event was coordinated by CINEA. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n

A cooperation platform developed by experts from participating institutions, ensuring more effective management of surface water bodies.<\/p>\n

Investments mobilised through the project will secure funding beyond the project\u2019s lifetime and expand the scale of its results.<\/p>\n
